Electrical Engineer

Electrical Engineers... the very word summons up images of slide rules and massive books containing tables of constants.
The field has quickly changed to keep abreast of technology, though... today's Electrical Engineers now use simulation software and graphic calculators.
It's not a sexy job, especially in Sydney, where the CBD is flush with young professionals working in any manner with money, law or laws about money. That's how Sydney rolls, boy. Unfortunately for the Electrical Engineer, who may dream about big lights, bright city, the jobs are all out somewhere else, far, far away from the city.
Perhaps it's a sad reality, one that, if you told freshmen students about, they'd probably elect to apply their 'skillz' at math to something else.
There's something honestly refreshing about the core of Electrical Engineering, though, one that eludes the nebulous semantics of law or the sheer dullness of tallying numbers.
Electrons, man. They flow, baby. You know it. With a little Ohm's law, Norton equivalent circuits and Nodal analysis, the Electrical Engineer faces nothing but the pure flow of electrons - or, to be perfectly honest, the antiflow of electrons.
Go to Perth, young man/woman. Go to Perth.
