Job Description:
The Summer Intern role is similar to that of a full time Associate. It will be for a term of 8 weeks and the start date will be around mid November but this is flexible. The focal point of an L.E.K. project team is at the associate level, where information regarding all aspects of an industry or business is gathered, synthesised and analysed. Specific responsibilities include extensive data gathering on markets, competitors and customers; interviews and discussions with industry experts; and fact-finding initiatives with the client.
An associate must transform what he or she has learned into a valuable and integral component of the clients strategy. This could involve developing a view of future market growth and competitor share; developing a spreadsheet valuation model for a company using discounted cash flow analysis; or determining probability distributions of value for a company being acquired.

Excellent academic results, (distinction/high distinction average), interesting work experience and extra curricular activities. We require candidates to have strong analytical skills, be innovative thinkers, and show leadership skills whilst being able to work well in teams.

Finance Executive Officer Scholarship Scheme (CFOSS) - Defense Forces Job
The Finance Executive within the Department of Defense is a highly skilled workforce of around 200 finance and accounting professionals.
The Chief Finance Officer Scholarship Scheme (CFOSS) program seeks students undertaking a major in one of the following fields commerce, banking and finance, accounting or business studies. A background in systems analysis, and a demonstrated aptitude for numerical analysis (eg statistics, quantitative analysis) would also be highly regarded.
The Scholarship Program consists of three paid work placements within the Defence Finance Domain, based in Canberra during university term and semester breaks in 2007.
Scholarship holders will receive a payment of $2100 to assist with their studies and up to an additional $1000 toward university text book charges.
On successful completion of their degree scholarship holders will receive automatic entry into the 2008 Defense Graduate Development Program.
