Oracle Database Administrator

An Oracle Database Administrator is heavily involved with the presentation of information while satisfying user requirements and IT capabilities through interfacing between data owners and the IT Division of an organisation.
Typically speaking, Oracle database administrators should have the following technical skills:
- Unix scripting including Perl
- Veritas netbackup procedures and maintenance
- EMC- working with SAN volumes
- DBA knowledge of Peoplesoft CRM, Peoplesoft Financials, Peoplesoft HR
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)
If you are a database administrator with the aforementioned skills and looking to further your career with a large infrastructure team based in the heart of Sydney’s CBD, this position should interest you.
You will be involved in the administration, reporting and management of Oracle databases under an environment that incorporates both Oracle and Sequel databases. Apart from the technical skills which you have as a database administrator, you will also need to have strong problem solving and analytical skills as well as exceptional oral and written communication skills. Other requirements include at least 2 years relevant experience in a similar role.
