* be a natural-born citizen of the United States
* be at least thirty-five years old
* have been resident in the United States for at least fourteen years
I can't meet any of those criteria, so I suppose my chance at the Oval Office will have to wait at least until they change the rules.
Also, every President, in the past, has been a white male. With Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama vying for the Democratic nomination, that record is going to be shattered if Americans go Dem.
Now, the answer to the question that everyone wants to know: how much does the President get paid?
$400 000.
Plus a bunch of extras: entertainment and travel expenses.
Go for it!
Postscript: Barack Obama is, actually, not the President, but at this stage in the game, it's looking like he will be. Will people look back at this post and declare how foolish I was?
