It's not an easy job, and you'll smell like shoe polish on the weekends, but the QVB shoe shining business is looking for someone to fill the all-important shoe shiner position.
Sure, it's a weird job, but in the movies, at least, you'll get to hear loads of clandestine information. Perhaps the CIA will contact you and give you a wire. You'll have to use elaborate hand signals to communicate with a man in a striped suit reading a newspaper. Maybe you'll embed a bug in the polish and stick it to the side of the shoe.
Otherwise you could just earn your $600/wk.
The ad claims that women tend to earn more, and I think I know how that happens. Wear something with an exposed neckline, and the tips will flow like the Nile River. That sounds pretty awful if you ask me, but there it is.
I think an important part of shoe shining is learning how to whistle, and wearing a shirt that you can roll up your sleeves. It'd be good if your name was Willy or Billy. Or Sam. Or Gilbert. It'd probably be important to be a good dancer so that when the male lead starts a song, you can effortlessly jump right in.
