A Systems Administration Engineer in the Information Technology sector is responsible for maximising service quality through use of best practices and standard, shared processes.
These responsibilities typically include:
- Ensuring applications meet performance and redundancy criteria
- Working with operations on capacity and infrastructure planning
- Developing and testing various procedures (especially recovery procedures)
- Handling the deployment of applications onto test & production platforms
- Performing backups and restores, deploying and utilising supporting tools, performing server/systems upgrades

- Have a relevant tertiary qualification
- Have 2 years of experience (in a high-volume, internet environment is desirable)
