Travel Consultants specialises in the area(s) of international or domestic travel by providing information to clients concerning local, interstate and international tours, travel routes, accommodation, local customs, fares and travel regulations.
Typically speaking, travel consultant plan, prepare and cost itineraries for clients as well as making accommodation and related bookings, confirm bookings and notify clients of luggage limits, insurance, medical, passport, visa and currency requirements etc.
As well as meeting many walk-in clients, travel consultants spend a lot of time on the telephone making travel arrangements for clients and handling e-mail enquiries as well.
For those with experience in this industry and are interested in a career change to a company which is a leader in vacations for 18-35 year-olds, full time contract positions from 08th September until 31st December this year are currently available.
Responsibilities include:
- Handle incoming call enquiries
- Quote and book from the in-house product range
- Up-sell flights, accommodation and tour options
- Booking updates and administrative duties
- Provide excellence in customer service
- Meet sales, service & call targets
You will be selling the world's most fabulous and exciting holiday destinations in a fun team environment, and have some prior experience working in travel. Besides requiring a high level of customer service, clear and concise communication skills are essential as the role involves high telephone usage.
